Last week, incoming 9th graders participating in Freshman LAUNCH at Phoenix Coding Academy learned how to train an AI language model, integrate the trained model with a Raspberry Pi platform, and program the Raspberry Pi to respond to text/voice commands that controlled both a lamp and a fan š We have had some amazing learning happening on our campuses this summer. Great job, PCA! š„

Today at Central, the Freshman LAUNCH students had interactive lessons with some of the CTE programs on campus š„ During their culinary lesson, students sampled bruschetta after learning how to plate food and then designed and plated a dessert of their own. š½ļø We are excited to have our incoming freshmen on campuses full time in August!

Tonight, the PXU Governing Board had many celebrations š. First, the Board recognized DeāMar Coleman, recent South graduate, for being the State Champion in the 100M & 200M for Track & Field. They also recognized Cesar Chavez ACADEC for placing third nationally, a first in PXU history. Then, they recognized Alhambra MEChA for their artwork being displayed in the Alhambra community. Finally, the Board welcomed newly appointed member Jeremiah Cota representing Ward 1. Congratulations to everyone recognized! š




PXU is proud to share the news of another known Million Dollar Scholar š Congratulations to Gabriella Bastida, recent graduate of Phoenix Coding Academy, for being offered $1.1M in total scholarships š She will attend Scripps College in the fall to study Computer Science. The PXU Class of 2025 is now up to 13 known Million Dollar Scholars š„
