Tonight, the Governing Board had two incredible celebrations. First, the Board recognized student athletes from across the district and their coaches who participated in the Nike RBI Summer League World Series for the Diamondbacks, winning the Championship in Florida. Then, they recognized our amazing students of the year, Mayen Usoro (Chavez, not pictured), Bodon Hinton (Desiderata), and Jonathan Robles Guardian (Linda Abril). Congratulations to all recognized!

Last week, PXU hosted a Football and Flag Football media day š Athletes from across PXU got to answer questions from local media about their upcoming seasons. Thank you to all of the student media who attended, especially Southās student videographers who live streamed the event. We hope all Fall teams have great seasons! Last week, the Central Global Studies Program welcomed visitors from their sister school in Japan šÆšµ. The students stayed with Central students and were shown what life as a Central Bobcat is like. We are so excited for the Global Studies students! š„










On Friday, North hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of their new outdoor eating space š½ļøā¤ļøš. Thank you to Northās cheer team, student government, and culinary students for their contribution to the event, making it a huge success. š

This morning was the annual PXU Employee of the Year breakfast where all of the Employees of the Year from across the district came together to eat breakfast and talk about their experiences at PXUš. Today, the Society of American Florists stopped by Metro Techās Flower Shop to learn about their program and tour the shop šøš The visitors came from all across the country and world, and each received a boutonniere made by the floral students. We are excited for the Flower Shop grand opening this year!

Then, they honored Juan Viveros from Metro Tech for being the first Skills USA National Medalist from PXU in over 25 years. Finally, the Board recognized our large school and small school Academic Achievement awardees, Cesar Chavez High School and Phoenix Coding Academy. Congratulations to everyone who was recognized!
