Today, Betty Fairfax BSU and HBCU Clubs hosted a beautiful assembly in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day š It featured performances from many groups across Fairfax mixed with educational moments about key figures in black history. PXU is so proud to congratulate Adrian Stubbs from the Maryvale Basketball Team for scoring 100 points in 3 quarters during their game against Kofa š With his points scored, he broke the existing state record for most individual points scored during a basketball game. We are so proud of you, Adrian!



Today, South Upward and Onward helped their community by hosting Market on the Move, a mobile market where members of the community can stop by and receive multiple boxes filled with fresh food for $10 šš„¦š
The interns had an assembly system for creating the boxes of food and even checked people in and loaded vehicles. We are so proud of them for their hard work giving back to our community. š Follow @upwardandonwardsmhs for their future Market on the Move events!









Yesterday, Central Culinary had an exciting afternoon after individuals from Project Roots arrived with three brand new grow towers for them to grow their own ingredients in the classroom šæ Culinary students had the opportunity to assemble the grow towers themselves, and they are excited to grow fresh ingredients on their own. Congratulations, Central Culinary! š










Tonight, the PXU Governing Board had some incredible celebrations š First, the Board recognized our Questbridge Matches from across the district. Congratulations to Suri Hernandez Chavez, Sofia Villa, Sara John, Susanne Guerrero Sanchez, Miraje Jemal (not pictured) and Fabian Melton (not pictured). The Board also recognized Kauwan Ellis, Safety Team Member from Cesar Chavez who recently saved a studentās life, making local and national news for his act of heroism. Congratulations to all who were recognized!
