Representative Ansari encourages young coders in Arizonaās Third Congressional District to apply to the 2025 Congressional App Challenge and showcase their skills by creating an original software application (app).
Only students who reside in or attend school in AZ03 can have their work accepted by the office and displayed in the app challenge, as per guidance from the Congressional App Challenge.

Rules and Eligibility:
STUDENTS CAN USE ANY PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE (example: C, C++, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, āblock code,ā etc.) and ANY PLATFORM (PC, web, tablet, robot, mobile, etc.). There are NO LIMITS on application themes or topics!
Eligibility and Age Division:
To be eligible to participate in the Congressional App Challenge, you must be a middle or high school student at the time of app submission.
Students may register as individuals or as teams of up to four. No more than four students are allowed to form a team.
Students may compete in the district they reside in or the district they attend school in.
If competing as a team, at least half of the teammates must be eligible to compete in the district in which they are participating.
All competing students must be U.S. residents at the time of submission. There is no citizen requirement for students.

Today, students from across the district attended the annual HBCU Fair at Phoenix College š« Students learned about various schools from across the country and started preparing for their futures! Thank you to everyone who makes this event happen each year. š











Today was another successful National Voter Registration Day on our campuses š³ļø! We had the pleasure of stopping by North and Coding to see how they were celebrating. Today was Metro Tech Flower Shopās 10th Annual Grand Opening š The Flower Shop students were navigating everything from selling inventory to creating new products to being interviewed by one of the three news outlets who stopped by to highlight them. It was another successful opening! The Metro Tech Flower Shop is officially open for business on school days during school hours š»

Yesterday, the Chavez football team had an incredible evening thanks to Arizona Cardinals player Will Hernandez š After practice, Hernandez brought his food truck, Mijos Tacos, to Chavez to give the team free tacos. He shared his experiences and advice with the team, donated $500 to them, and even hosted a taco eating contest for 5 offensive lineman. Thank you to Will Hernandez for his generosity towards our students! š„

On Saturday, PXU Family & Community Engagement and the Engagement Center participated in Councilwoman Betty Guardadoās Maryvale Resource Fair! We offered resources and information to the Maryvale community, and even had Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego stop by the PXU booths. Thank you to Councilwoman Guardado for facilitating this event! š









Franklinās Annual Community Fair was a huge success! šā¤ļø Community partners from all over the city participated in the event, and it was very well attended. Attendees had so much fun with things like haircuts, free food, games, performances, and more. We are so proud of the Franklin community for putting on yet another incredible event.
