Betty H. Fairfax High School is excited to begin preparations for our annual Trunk-or-Treat event on Thursday, October 29th, and we would greatly appreciate your support!

To help make this event a spooktacular success for our students and families, we are kindly asking for candy donations. If you are able to contribute, please keep the following in mind:
✅ Candy must be new and individually wrapped
✅ Donations will be accepted through the day of the event: October 29th
✅ Please drop off donations in the Registration Office for Yadira Rubio, Family Engagement Liaison

Today we celebrated Metro Tech Flower Shop's 11th Annual Grand Opening! ✨ 🌸 The students all worked diligently in various roles including floral design, retail sales, management and much more. A few students were even interviews by various local news stations to share the good news about their program. Congratulations to all involved on another triumphant launch of the Flower Shop! If you're looking for a bouquet, a cute plushie, or a variety of other gift ideas, the Metro Tech Flower Shop is open for business on school days during school hours. 💐

This Saturday, the PXU NAEP program celebrated another beautiful Native American Convocation 🎉. We want to congratulate all the members of the Class of 2026 🥳, and their families and communities that helped get reach this important milestone. A special thank you goes out to the PXU NAEP program, and the special guests who made this a night to remember. Graduates, let the wisdom and joy of this night be with you the rest of your lives. Congratulations! ✨

Dear Fairfax Families,

The ACT Aspire assessment for freshmen will take place on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, and will begin promptly at 8:20 a.m. This assessment is for freshmen students only. This is not a half day for students; students will be dismissed at 3:20pm.

To ensure a smooth testing experience, students must arrive on time and bring their fully charged laptop and charger. The remainder of the campus (10th, 11th, & 12th grade), will have an I Day.

33rd Annual State-wide Japanese Speech Contest Hosted at Fairfax

This year's state-wide Japanese Speech Contest is being held at our very own Betty Fairfax High School. The contest brings together students who are studying Japanese at all levels (middle school, high school and college) to demonstrate their Japanese language skills. Students from all over the state gather together with memorized speeches along a topic, present them to a panel of judges, and compete for prizes. This year's theme is Food. The Fairfax Japanese Program has 5 students competing and the contest is open to the public.

The Speech Contest is on Saturday, April 11th in the BFHS Performing Arts Center Stage from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. While the speeches are in Japanese, there will be an English display behind the contestants and an online program that you can follow along with. Please come and support our students. We hope to see you there!
