Every Day Counts in PXU
Dear Fairfax Families,
As we enter into Winter break Friday, December 19th, we hope your family enjoys this time to rest, recharge, and spend time together. Breaks are important for balance and well-being, and we encourage all students to take this opportunity to return refreshed and ready to learn.
We also want to remind you how important it is for students to return on time after the break. Every absence ā whether before or after a recess/holiday ā adds up and can impact your studentās academic success, connection to school, and progress towards graduation. Consistent attendance builds strong habits that help students stay on track.
ā
Please schedule travel and appointments so your student is ready to be back in school on Monday, January 5th, 2026.
ā
Encourage your student to use this time to recharge and remind them that returning to school after the break means picking up right where they left off.
ā
If you family faces challenges that may impact attendance, please reach out to Maria Anaya (9th/11th/12+ Grades) and Yvette LeVelle (10th & 12th Grades), Student Liaisons. They are here to support you, connect you to resources, and help problem-solve any barriers.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure your studentās success. We look forward to welcoming all of our students back right after Winter break, ready to learn and thrive!
Happy Holidays!!
