Gigi Hernandez

Geraldine "Gigi" Hernandez, GTA Senior has been admitted to YALE University through Early Restrict Action.

YALE is a highly selective Ivy League institution located in New Haven, Connecticut, and on average only 3.9% of applicants are admitted, making Gigi’s achievement truly exceptional. She plans to study Neuroscience and ultimately pursue a career as a neuropathologist.

Founded in 1701, Yale is dedicated to expanding and sharing knowledge, inspiring innovation, and preserving cultural and scientific information for future generations. The university partners closely with its hometown of New Haven and engages globally to promote cultural understanding, improve the human condition, explore the mysteries of the universe, and train the next generation of world leaders.

Gigi exemplifies the qualities Yale seeks in its students—those who will make the most of Yale’s extraordinary resources, stretch the limits of their talents, and demonstrate an outstanding public motivation with concern for something larger than themselves. As Yale’s admissions philosophy has long emphasized, the university seeks students who, with Yale’s support, are likely to become leaders in whatever path they pursue. Decade after decade, Yalies have set out to make the world better, and Gigi is well positioned to continue that legacy.

Yale’s commitment to access and affordability should also be noted —Yale financial aid meets 100% of demonstrated financial need with no loans.
