Cesar Chavez High School

About Us

Established in 1957, Carl Hayden Community High School is preparing all students to become lifelong learners and to meet the challenges of a technological society.  We are home to one of Phoenix Union's oldest and largest Magnet programs, the Centers for Computer Studies and Marine Science.  Hayden offers opportunities for students to be involved in Honors, AP and dual enrollment courses where students can earn community college credit while in high school. We encourage students to build their academic skills through a wide variety of programs, clubs and activities, including an AVID mentoring program, advanced classes in all academic areas and internationally renowned Robotics, Wrestling and JROTC Rifle clubs. Our programs are designed to meet the needs of all students so they can be successful in an ever changing society. No matter how diverse the students’ needs are; programs are designed with student learning as the focus.  In short, Carl Hayden Community High School provides a quality and appropriate education for all students.
