Dr. Jodi Weber Announced As New Alhambra Principal
Congratulations to Dr. Jodi Weber, who was recently announced as the next principal of Alhambra High School beginning in the 2022-23 school year. Dr. Weber will replace Ms. Deana Williams, who has served in this role since 2019.
Weber began her teaching career in 2004 and joined PXU in the fall of 2014 at Alhambra High School. During her time as a teacher at Alhambra, Weber became the English department instructional leader focused on culturally-responsive pedagogy. In 2020 she would transition to Bostom High School as the Assistant Principal. Dr. Weber's core belief is that education should develop the whole student and embody justice.
Dr. Weber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education from Arizona State University. She has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from National University and a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in Principal Leadership from the University of Phoenix. In addition, she earned her Doctorate of Education specializing in Educational Leadership and Curriculum from the University of Phoenix.
"Dr. Weber was a highly-effective teacher and teacher leader and is now a very successful assistant principal in Phoenix Union," said PXU Superintendent Dr. Chad Gestson. "Her knowledge of, and her love for, the Alhambra High School community – its staff, students, and families will support a strong transition back to the Lion family."
