Neda Boyce Named New Bioscience High School Principal

 

Neda BoyceMs. Neda Boyce has been chosen as the next principal to lead Bioscience High School beginning in the 2022-23 school year. Ms. Boyce will replace Dr. Holly Batsel, who has served in this role since 2016.

Boyce has served the Phoenix Union High School District community for nine years, most recently as an assistant principal at The Academies at South Mountain, leading the Media Arts and Design Academy. Before this, she served as a biology and chemistry teacher at Bioscience, professional development specialist at Central High School, and a leader in full-time training at North High School. Ms. Boyce is passionate about innovative approaches to education and believes all students deserve access to high-quality educational opportunities. 

Boyce holds an undergraduate degree in biology and a master's degree in secondary education from Arizona State University. In 2016, she earned a second master's degree in educational leadership from Arizona State.

"Ms. Boyce is a committed leader in PXU, having served our community for nearly a decade. Her experience as a biology teacher at Bioscience High School gives her unique insights into the culture and climate on that campus," said PXU Superintendent Dr. Chad Gestson. "The overwhelming community support she received gives me confidence that Bioscience will have continued success under her leadership."
