Bostrom Principal Announced: Michelle Gutierrez de Jimenez
Phoenix Union is happy to announce the selection of Ms. Michelle Gutierrez de Jimenez as the next principal of Bostrom High School. Ms. Gutierrez de Jimenez will begin her tenure in July and replace Mr. Robert Grant, who will serve as the principal of Cesar Chavez High School in the fall.
Gutierrez de Jimenez is a proud alumna of South Mountain High School and a PXU parent. She has 23 years of experience in education and 14 in Phoenix Union. She has served as a parent coordinator, teacher, adjunct professor, counselor, department chair, dean of students, and most recently as the Assistant Principal for Registration at Camelback High School. In addition, she supported the development of the Academies at South Mountain, overseeing the Public and Social Services Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in Education from Grand Canyon University.
"Ms. Gutierrez de Jimenez is a proud product of Phoenix Union and has deep roots in our community," said Superintendent Dr. Chad Gestson. "She has long had a heart for students who need extra support and has volunteered countless hours with outside agencies to serve our city’s disconnected youth. Bostrom is a perfect match for her skills, passion, and experience. We look forward to her success as principal in the coming years."
