• Special Education Services within ESS

PXU provides a continuum of services (listed below) for students through a variety of service delivery models. IEP teams begin program planning with the belief and expectation that students will receive services in educational settings that address their individualized needs.

Self-advocacy of students is critical in high school. The IEP Team, with input directly from the student and well as parents, will work together to develop an individualized, comprehensive educational plan, determine the types of services and supports the student requires, and determine the location and setting for the student to access all required services as described in the IEP.

For more information about our continuum of services and educational placement options determined by the IEP team, please contact the ESS Facilitator at your student’s school or our ESS District Office to speak with the ESS Director or ESS Manager.
