Parent Meeting - 5/22/23

Dear Bostrom Families,

Thank you for your continued trust and support. We would like to invite you to a parent meeting tomorrow, Monday, May 22, at 5:00 p.m. inside Bostrom’s cafeteria.

As we shared on Friday, we received a report from a student that a possible firearm was on campus. Our staff immediately contacted local law enforcement, who arrived on the scene and confirmed the report to be true. The Phoenix Police Department is investigating, and we will cooperate fully in their investigation. Out of an abundance of caution, we will have additional safety measures in place tomorrow. 

As you know, the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority and a shared effort. We want to thank those who reported the incident to a trusted adult, our staff, and the Phoenix Police Department who quickly arrived on campus. We recognize the severity of this situation and the fear and anxiety it causes our students and staff. We will have social-emotional support available at school for students and staff who may need it.

Estimadas familias de Bostrom,

Gracias por su continua confianza y apoyo. Nos gustaría invitarlo a una reunión de padres mañana lunes 22 de mayo a las 5:00 p.m. dentro de la cafetería de Bostrom.

Como compartimos el viernes, recibimos un informe de un estudiante de que una posible arma estaba en el campus. Nuestro personal se puso en contacto de inmediato con la policía local, que llegó al lugar y confirmó que el informe era cierto. El Departamento de Policía de Phoenix está investigando y cooperaremos plenamente en su investigación. Por precaución, implementaremos medidas de seguridad adicionales mañana.

Como saben, la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes y personal es siempre nuestra prioridad principal y es un esfuerzo compartido. Queremos agradecer a quienes informaron el incidente a un adulto de confianza, a nuestro personal y al Departamento de Policía de Phoenix que llegaron rápidamente al plantel escolar. Reconocemos la gravedad de esta situación y el miedo y la ansiedad que causa a nuestros estudiantes y personal. Tendremos apoyo socioemocional disponible en la escuela para los estudiantes y el personal que lo necesiten.
