    What is Tranisitioning Learners to College? 

    Comprehensive program designed to support students who have aspirations for going to college as they prepare to transition from high school. Students will receive specially designed instruction in the areas of career and college readiness, self advocacy and self determination and daily living skills. Students will also be enrolled in at least one college course as determined appropriate by the school based team and personnel from Phoenix College. Students will additionally be exposed to college resources such as: counseling/advising, disability center supports, FAFSA information, enrollement procedures, fitness center, fitness classes, campus clubs, and campus events.

    Prerequities to enter the Program?

    Students must have completed all of their core academic classes ( 4 years of math and English and 3 years of science and social studies). 

    Must have great attendance! 

    Able to ride public transportation independently or have other transportation arrangements is preffered. 


    When is this program?

     This program is offered to Phoenix Union High School District students during the August-May, nine month school year. This program will follow the Maricopa Community College fall and spring semester schedule. This program is not offered during the summer sesssion. The program will go from 7:45 am-2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  

     Why this Program? 

    Many may ask why this program? This program is ONE OF A KIND! Our mission is to support students transition from high school to college with this program. Through this program students will have access to many academic tools that can make them successful in college.
