My classroom promotes educational motivation, classroom engagement, class discussion, punctuality, and accountability. This class exposes students to the array of questions, ideas, and values found in short stories, news articles, and literature. Attending class, taking effective notes, reading, and sharing ideas are all essential elements to success in this class. All student work will be kept by the student in their white binder (provided for them) under the 'English' tab. Organization is an essential skill that students will need to master in this class room. Because literature takes many forms, I find it helpful to show some films to supplement the material. We will be listening to music and watching films to help better our understanding of some assignments. ALL homework assignments should be completed on time. If a homework assignment is not complete on the due date, students have until the end of the week to turn it in for partial credit.
Clever is utilized in our classroom, and students can find bellwork, notes, and class assignments through there. Students must login with their regular school login information.
