Hello! My name is Brianne Gatewood. I was born Los Angeles, California. I moved to Arizona in 2012 When I began college at Arizona State University. I graduated with my Bachelors Degree in Education and continued my education to recieve my Masters Degree at Grand Canyon University in 2019. I began teaching in 2017 at Alhambra High School and have now found myself at Linda Abril Educational Academy teaching Senior English and becoming the Student Government Advisor! Along with this wonderful job, I am also the Freshmen Softbal Coach at Metro Tech High School.
When I am not teaching or coaching softball, I am taking care of my 1 year old daughter, Zoie. She is the greatest thing in life and she exudes happiness! I also blog, write poetry, and take pictures in my spare my time. Life is truly what you make it! I enjoy trying new things an being adventurous, as long as it doesn't involve jumping out a plane!
I believe that all students have the right to an equal education. All students are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially while being aware and acknowledging the different cultures around them. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks while stepping outside their comfort zone to push themselves.
