    • Course Description

      Digital Photo 1-2 is designed to teach students the basics in camera operations and photo imaging software. Digital Photo 3-5, 5-6 is designed to teach student advanced skills and develop a body of work.   

      Dual Enrollment with Phoenix College ( 3 credit hours) Digital Photo 1-2 and 3-4 is offered with Dual Enrollment.  

      Supplies

      ·        Payment of $20.00 fee for Level 1-2, 3-4.  $30.00 for AP and higher level classes -which pays for student supplies each semester

      ·        Pencil, pen and USB memory stick 4G or higher. 

                                             

       

      Semester Grades

       The semester grades will be determined by the following percentages:

      ·        45% First 9 weeks

      ·        45% Second 9 weeks

      ·        10% Final Exam/ Final Project

       

      A = 90 -100%

      B = 80 – 89%

      C = 70 – 79%

       

       

      Title I Program:

      Academic tutoring and test preparation is available to all students. Additional support for passing classes and graduating on time is the intent of these services.  Support through Title I funding is available in the areas of: math, reading and English.  If interested, please contact the Principal, or Assistant Principal for Instruction for additional information at 602-764-7500

       

       Attendance Policy and Procedure

       The school and district attendance policy, tardy policy as well as discipline policies will be strictly enforced.  Please, become familiar with these as discussed in the student handbook.

       “Absent” is defined as nonattendance in an assigned class or activity for more than one-half of the period. (PUHSD Governing Board Policy J-1561 JHR)

      “Tardy” is defined as not being in the assigned class or activity when the tardy bell has finished ringing. (PUHSD Governing Board Policy J-1561 JHR)

      Students may fail the class for the semester in any course, when reaching a total of 12 excused/unexcused absences and after school-documented interventions have been exhausted. (Student Procedures Handbook page 22)

       Timely, daily participation is required in class.  It is expected that students will work on  assignments each day.  In the event that the student cannot work on a projects during a class day, due to forgetfulness or for any other reason, the student must work on an alternative projects.  Failure to do so will result in loss of participation points.
