Hello and welcome!  My name is Colleen Fitzpatrick and I teach 10th grade US history at Phoenix Coding Academy.  In my 15 years as a teacher, I have taught middle school and high school, US history, art history and world history.  I enjoy teaching and learning about history because it is so open to interpretation.  We all experience the world and its events in different ways and it’s fun to explore those perspectives to gain a better understanding of our collective story.  My hope is that students leave my class with the tools to make informed decisions, skills for citizenship, and to become active members in their communities.

Outside of school I enjoy getting creative in the kitchen, especially sweets!  I love going on early morning hikes solo and long canal walks with Hayes and my little dog, Nola.

Let's make it a great year.
