    Course Overview:

    Spanish 1-2 & Spanish 3-4 foster the practice and development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Making cross-cultural comparisons and discussing the historical and contemporary livelihoods of the Spanish-speaking world is integrated into the units and daily lessons. Emphasis will be placed on the acquisition of the Standard Spanish Language. Emphasis will be placed on the five standards of World Languages: Presentational Writing (PW), Interpretive Reading (IR), Interpretive Listening (IL), Interpersonal Communication (IC) and Presentational Speaking (PS). Acquiring a second language will prepare students in becoming an integral part of the global community while fulfilling college requirements.
