    I am excited to be teaching English 1-2 at Carl Hayden High School. This is my 9th year teaching English in Phoenix, but my first year at Carl Hayden. I earned my bachelor of arts degree from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio and teaching credentials from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. In 2013, I became a National Board Certified Teacher.
     
    I believe that all of my students are capable of greatness. I encourage my students to put forth their best effort, to make mistakes, to collaborate, and to try new things. My goal is that they achieve more than they thought they could and through that, they realize that they truly can do anything if they work hard.
