• Poetry Central Metro Tech

    Poetry Central is the Phoenix Union High School District's celebration of the spoken word. It takes place in the late spring each year.  Students who placed in their school poetry contests during the school year will hear from professional poets, attend workshops and hear the District winners present their poems.  The public is invited to the recital portion of the event.  
     

    Remember that all entries should be typed and should have the student’s first and last name and his or her English teacher’s name in the lower right corner. 
     
    Metro Tech would like to encourage you to have your students write, type, and submit poetry from now through March, 2015. You are not limited to the given prompts, of course. Have students submit entries to the Poetry Central In-folder.  Please try to read the poems first.
