    The Culinary Arts course provides the opportunity for students to explore food on both a personal and professional level.  Major units of study include Nutrition, Safety & Sanitation, Basic Kitchen Skills, Baking Skills, Hot & Cold Foods, Knife Skills, Spices, as well as other food items, and Career Awareness.  Laboratory experiences will not only focus on management practices and the scientific principles of food preparation, but also include table service and etiquette. 

    Relationship to improvement of academic skills will be stressed throughout this course of study.
