My name is Afton L. Stephens.  I teach Special Education and math, and have been teaching for 15 years.  I became an educator because I enjoy working with kids.  In my spare time I enjoy cooking and spending time with friends and family, as well as coaching and watching basketball. 

 

At the present time the algebra classes do not use text books.  All materials (assignments, tests, quizzes, etc) are written based on the Common Core Standards, which were adopted in 2012.  

 

Students may attend tutoring, after school, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday to receive additional assistance. Students may also attend tutoring during their Advisory class.
