The Business Department is committed to providing quality education that prepares students for college, career and life.  The business department offers three separate programs:  Accounting, Business Management and Administrative Services (BMAS), and Career and Technical Education.  By completing the entire sequence for Accounting and Business 1-2 , students will have achieved mastery of the standards of a state-approved program and will earn a certificate verifying their completion of the program.   Students will also gain valuable leadership and employment skills and receive opportunities for scholarships and community involvement by participating in the Future Business leaders of America (FBLA) student organization.  Business lessons incorporate writing, math, and AVID strategies to help students reach proficiency on the standards measured by the AZ Merit test.

Students will explore careers and career pathways which will be especially beneficial as they begin developing their personal 4+4 programs.  The Accounting 1-4 program is designed to equip students with practical working knowledge of the skills needed to perform daily accounting activities of the average business. At each level, students will study advanced practices of manual and computerized accounting concepts.
