JROTC 6th Battalion
Welcome! The Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) is a department within Maryvale High School that has maintained an Honor Unit with Distinction since 2001. Opened in 1970, we currently have 386 fellow Cadets in the battalion. This department is designed to encourage high school students to be better citizens; it also helps students to improve their physical, mental, emotional and environmental health.
Although JROTC is based on military experience, Cadet participation in the JROTC program does not mean being in the military service. The most important aspect of the program to the instructors and administration is giving students the tools to achieve excellence in all aspects of their lives, whether in business, secondary education, or any other career a Cadet may choose.
