    BACKGROUND: Born in South Bend, Indiana, some time in the 70's. He has lived in many places in the United States and the world including North Carolina, Florida, Panama and Missouri. He moved to Arizona with his family in the early 90's.


    EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: . Mr. Leggett is a graduate of Tolleson Union High School in Tolleson, Arizona. He then attended Glendale Community College on a track & field scholarship. After leaving Glendale Community College, he continued his track & field career and education at Lincoln University in Missouri. He graduated from Lincoln University with a Bachelors of Science in Sceondary Education with an emphasis in History. He later went on to attend Northern Arizona University where he received a Masters in Educational Leadership. 


    TEACHING BACKGROUND: Mr. Leggett has been employed with Phoenix Union High School District since the start of the year 2000. His first assignment was at Carl Hayden Community High School where he helped kids graduate from a drop back program. Later that year, he began teaching at the newly opened Cesar Chavez High School, Home of the Champions, where he has taught numerous classes in the Social Studies curriculum. These classes include World History & Geography, United States and Arizona History, Government, and American Cultures.


    ACTIVITIES/ INVOLVEMENT: Mr. Leggett has been involved in coaching sports and club activites. In the district, he has coached Cross Country, Football, Basketball, and Track & Field. He has also been involved in the Ebony Club and Step Team.
