Ms. Penunuri was born and raised in Avondale, Arizona, where she attended Westview High School and graduated in 2017. She went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in education at Arizona State University starting in Fall, 2017 and graduating in 4 years, May, 2021.
Ms. Penunuri is currently a biology teacher at North High School and is also heavily involved in her school community as the Junior Varsity cheer coach. She is passionate about making connections in her school community, and supporting her students not only academically, but socially as well.
Ms. Penunuri received her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in Secondary Education, Biological Sciences and a Minor in Political Science in May, 2021. Currently, she is pursuing her Masters of Arts in Education, curriculum and instruction, with a focus on gifted education from Arizona State University. She hopes to use the knowledge she gains from the program to provide new and innovative teaching methods for her students. Eventually, she wishes to work directly in a position having to do with Gifted Education Programming or Administration.
Ms. Penunuri’s past-time activities include spending time with friends and family, as well as being involved in a Cultural Greek lettered organization, Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc., in which she is the current national President.
