Mr. Shabazz currently teaches Marketing (MKT 1-2, MKT 3-4, and MKT Internship) to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. He started teaching at North High School in 2005 and, before then,  he taught at Alhambra for 1 year and at Osborn Middle School for 5 years.  

His career spans over 20 years both in B2B and B2C sectors and working with both agencies and brands. 

Mr. Shabazz is the school’s DECA advisor.  DECA is a marketing organization that works to improve education and career opportunities for students interested in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. 

In addition to teaching and being a DECA advisor, Mr. Shabazz will begin his 22nd season at North High School as a basketball coach, and his 15th as the varsity coach.  Coach Shabazz also spent seven years coaching one of the top AAU teams in the state (Arizona Thunder 18U).
