     Welcome to Piano Lab at Alhambra High School! 

    This is my 12th year at Alhambra, and I am looking forward to helping all my students achieve their personal best in piano.   I studied piano performance at Eastern Illinois University from 1978-1983 and did the Post-Baccalureate Teacher Certification program through Arizona State University in the early 1990’s and recently finished my Masters in Music Education at Kent State University.  
     
    Piano lab is a class you can take for all four years of high school if you wish and we have had some amazing pianists graduate from Alhambra.  In Beginning Piano you learn the basics of the keyboard and reading music.  In Intermediate and Advanced you continue to grow and develop your skills in a wide range of musical styles.
