Colleges & Universities
There are nearly 4,500 degree granting colleges/universities in the United States. Less than 35 are in Arizona. How do you find the school that is right for you? There are several websites that can help.
College Navigator is a college search tool developed by the U.S. Department of Education to help students explore post-secondary options and find the right college: http://nces.ed.gov/collegenavigator/
Center for Student Opportunty is an organization committed to helping low-income and first generation (neither parent graduated with a bachelor's degree) students. In addition to helping students target those colleges/universities that have proven a committment to understeved students, they also offer information on scholarships and programs: http://csopportunity.org/index.aspx
College Board are the folks who bring you the PSAT, SAT, AP and CLEP tests. They also have a good website that can help your college search, provide financial aid info, and prepare you for college: https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/
Of course we cannot talk about the College Board without talking about ACT. They also provide a website where students can search for the college that best fits their needs: http://www.act.org/collegesearch/index.php
