NetTutor is a professional online tutoring provider of high-quality tutoring services for live on-demand and virtual support. Their tutors have been fully vetted, trained, and use instructional best practices.READING is alive and well. Use the library catalog. You can browse the print books. You can check out up to 4 books at a time for 3 weeks and renew if needed. Ebooks and audiobooks are self checkout/ renew on your laptop use the library catalog to look up a specific book or check out audio and ebooks. Choose the traditional view of the library catalog or Destiny Discover view. Login on the library catalog in the top right corner with your ID and password to be able to borrow the ebook or audio book.

TeachingBooks. Find suggestions and information about YA books you might read and teaching lessons for classroom use. NEW: now linked to SORA for insight into the authors and the text. When in SORA look for Supplemental at the bottom of the page.
New: Ancestry Library: This database is a genealogy research tool with access to a wide range of resources for genealogical and historical research. Access billions of records in census data, historical photos, plus local narratives, oral histories, indexes and other resources in over 30,000 databases that span from the 1500s to the 2000s.
VORACIOUS READERS READ AGAIN. There are FIVE great fiction titles coming this year focusing on five different genres. With a grant from the Arizona Humanities Council, there will be free books. We will watch the movie to go with the book and have snacks. PLUS prizes!! Great titles to read and movie discussions coming to Maryvale Library.
FLIPSTER magazines NEW!!! Maryvale Library has a subscription to the following online magazines: Current Biography, Youth Runner, OYLA Science, Black Teen Magazine.
Comics Plus returns. This is thousands of graphic novels. Make your own account with your school email and school password. Your school email ends in @student.phoenixunion.org This will be the only user name that will be recognized.
Find excellent ebooks and audiobooks for all ages. You can customize the text, highlight, save your place. Use this link to browse, but also access your own account and check out through PXU.org > Info for Students. You can put a link to the public library in the upper right and with a library card you can also check out their ebooks/audiobooks. SYNC offers 2 free audiobooks each week during the summer. Put a link in the upper right and follow instructions to keep all of the free SYNC audio books forever.
