Hello! My name is Judy Laufer and I've been a school counselor at Maryvale High School since 2001. I absolutely love my job and love our students and community! I was born in Sweden and lived in Germany until I was age 8. My family then moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I didn't speak any English when we moved to the USA, but I quickly learned. Everything was new and exciting to me!

 

I received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1994, and then my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University in 2000. Besides working at Maryvale High School, I also have a private practice in mental health in the afternoons and evenings. I love working with kids and helping wherever I can. I really enjoy seeing our students evolve into responsible, successful young adults.

 

 

My office hours are 7:30am-3:30pm Mondays - Fridays.
