Important Announcement October 7, 2022

Dear Carl Hayden High School Families,

 

This evening, near the end of our home football game, gunfire was heard next to the football field, outside the school. We quickly escorted students, staff, and community to a safe place, and we locked down the campus. Once all clear, we ended the lockdown. 

 

Nobody was injured. We will work closely with the Phoenix Police Department during the investigation. When new information becomes available, we will share with the community. 

 

Your safety remains our top priority. Thank you for your continued support and commitment.

 

We wish our students a safe and happy Fall Break, and look forward to seeing them on Monday, October 17.
