Mrs. Sara Flickinger

My name is Sara Flickinger and I teach Freshmen English 1-2. While this is my fourth year teaching 9th graders here at my Maryvale, I am in my fourteenth year teaching. For nine years, I taught 5th and 6th grade Resource Reading and Math in Texas. I majored in English with a minor in British Literature and Post-Colonial Studies. Crafting lesson plans to engage students and inspire them to invest in their education, their identity, and their future is incredibly rewarding. I am grateful for the endless opportunities to empower our students with skills that help them grow inside and outside of the classroom.
