Phoenix Union (PXU) is proud to announce COVID-19 testing partnerships with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH), Embry Health, Premier Lab Solutions, and Family Tree Healthcare. PXU will begin to roll out free on-site COVID testing for staff, students, and the community. We will also offer at-home testing for staff, students, and their families.
“Phoenix Union will continue to offer and expand critical health services for our entire community throughout the pandemic,” Superintendent Dr. Chad Gestson said. “We are already a leader in vaccine distribution. We will now become a leader in COVID testing. Putting the same effort into testing will mean safer schools that can remain open for in-person learning and, ultimately, a safer community for everyone.”

COVID-19 Vaccinations Continue
PXU’s promise to never abandon our community during the pandemic will always be at the forefront of our decisions. Science tells us that the best way to mitigate the spread of the virus is to get vaccinated. Phoenix Union will continue its partnership with Albertsons/Safeway and MCDPH to provide easy access to the Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines each Saturday in September at Metro Tech High School from 9:00am to 5:00pm. We will also offer vaccines on Saturdays in October at a site to be determined soon. Individuals can get access to transportation and more information by calling (602) 764-1500.
