World Languages Databases
Britannica Escolar offers the following in Spanish: three reading levels for research information, links to reviewed websites, an atlas, and timeline, plus you can make your own timeline.
ProQuest databases include SIRS Knowledge Source with trending Social Issues and World Culture/Politics presented in Pro/Con viewpoints with critical thinking questions and timelines.
CultureGrams which is a comprehensive resource for information from every country, including foods, recreation, holidays, and lifestyles.
Visual Thesaurus provides synonyms, antonyms, and parts of speech in a fun, interactive web to help students increase vocabulary and improve writing. Content may be translated into the following languages: Dutch, French, German, Italian, and Spanish.
World Book Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos is a Spanish database with hundreds of thousands of easy-to-understand articles, captivating images, original videos, integrated primary sources, and eBooks.
Follow this procedure to access World Book's World Newspapers - From World Book Online, click on the Advanced World Book icon. In World Book Advanced, select Research & Resources in the upper, right corner. In the Research & Resources menu, click on World Newspapers. Choose a location to view newspapers from around the world.
Additional Resources: Many of the PXU online resources provide French, German, and Spanish translations of its content, as well as many other languages. Look for a TRANSLATE icon or links.
