    Get a feel for the future by participating in college readiness camps and workshops! 

    Class of 2022, gain valuable college knowledge, improve your ACT scores, and boost your admission chances by participating in these spring and summer opportunities.

    *Priority should be given to Class of 2022 however Class of 2023 is welcome to attend all Spring workshops and Summer ACT.

    College Planning Essentials for Juniors in English and Spanish

    Dates: March 1st, March 2nd, March 3rd, March 4th OR March 5th

    Time: 3 pm – 4 pm

    Get an edge on how to be college bound your senior year in this virtual session. You will learn how to search for colleges, what you will need to apply to them, when to apply, as well as where to find support with it all. This session will help you create your own personal blueprint for college admissions.


    ACT Test Prep: PXU Spring

    Dates: March 20th, March 27th, March 29th AND April 3rd

    Time: 9 am – 2 pm

    TARGET ACT Test Administration Date: April 6, 2021

    Are you interested in the PXU ACT Test Prep to get ready for exam April district exam? ACT skill focus areas will include: pacing, test question familiarity and strategies in English, reading, math, and science, understanding content and discovering how high scores unlock possibilities for merit scholarships.

    Important: YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO SIGN UP FOR MULTIPLE WORKSHOPS.  

    Note: Students who participate in 2021 camps and earn high composite scores may be eligible for paid test prep tutor opportunities the spring semester of senior year and in the summer following graduation.  It is a requirement that all future tutors participate in summer/fall ACT test prep opportunities.


    Tri-University: ASU, NAU and UA

    Dates: April 6, 2021

    Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University and the University of Arizona are coming together to ensure you and your family are well informed about the opportunities and resources available to you to pay for college. As your public universities, we are working together to ensure you find your best college fit.

    We have teamed up to host joint virtual information sessions for prospective students and families throughout the year.


    Money for College: Financial Aid and FSAID

    Dates: April 12th, April 13th, April 14th, April 15th OR April 16th

    Time: 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

    Learn about Federal Financial Aid and financing your college dreams. Class of 2022 participants will also be able to create FSAID which is the first step in applying for Federal Student Aid.


    PXU Highly Selective Colleges and Universities Conference

    Date: May 21, 2021  

    Time: 9 am – 2 pm

    Requirement: minimum GPA of 3.5

    Session topics include: Paying for College, College 101, Submitting your strongest college applications including College Essays and Demonstrating Interest and Exploring Admissions in a Virtual World.

    College Depot ACT Test Prep

    Date: June 1 – June 4

    Time: 1 pm – 2 pm

    TARGET ACT Test Administration Date: June 12, 2021 or July 17, 2021

    In conjunction with College Depot, we are offering students a free 6-week ACT prep online program. Students would need to join a Teams meeting online and learn how to use the program.


    PXU ACT Test Prep Summer

    Prep Dates: July 12th – July 15th 

    Time: 10 am – 2 pm

    Common Application Workshop: PXU Launch to Out-of-State Colleges

    Date: May 24th – 28th  

    Time: 1 pm – 3 pm

    Learn more about institutions that offer generous financial aid and/or merit-based scholarships.  Many schools do not consider family income/financial assets in the admissions process. You will fill out the Common Application, complete the brag sheet, narrow your college list, and connect with schools virtually.

    Time: 10am – 12 pm

    College Application Workshop: PXU Liftoff

    Open to current Juniors/Class of 2021

    Dates: July 26th – 30th

    Times: 10am - Noon and 1-3 pm

    Students attending this workshop will complete all in-state applications and attend information sessions from both public and private in-state universities and community colleges. Our goal is for you to have completed all of your in-state applications before the first day of school!
