Evaluating Sources
Finding quality, reliable information for academic and personal use is a lifelong endeavor. Being effective, independent users of information requires that we learn to evaluate information sources for accuracy, relevance, reliability, and appropriateness. The CRAAP test is an evaluation tool developed by California State University, Chico, to determine if an information source should be used for academic or personal purposes.
