Hello! 

My name is Kelsey Lafferty- I teach Sophomore Honors English and AP Seminar for all grades. I grew up here in Phoenix, attended Desert Vista High School, and graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in English Education and a master’s degree also in English Education.

I live in Chandler, where I enjoy staying active by playing many different sports and doing a variety of training at my gym varying from weight training, kickboxing, and marathon running training! I enjoy cooking even though I often burn things.

My goal as a teacher is to encourage a love of reading in everyone. I want everyone to find a book they enjoy reading and be inspired to find others to love!

The written word is one of the greatest gifts we have. It's important to learn to use our voices not only effectively, but artistically.
