Mr. Ruiz majored in teaching English as a second language at the University of Sonora. He began teaching in 1997 in Mexico. Since moving to the Arizona in 2008, he has taught at the Tolleson Union High School District, Maricopa County Regional School District, and Paradise Valley Schools. He started at Phoenix Union High School District in August of 2017. Mr. Ruiz graduated from NAU in 2016 with a master’s degree in educational technology.
