I teach 9-10 Reading for College Readiness.  We work exclusively with non-fiction text.  Two days per week we use the Achieve 3000 program in the computer lab.  Students read articles and answer multiple choice questions and answer a writing prompt.  The topics range from technology to China.  

I am a Reading Specialist with a masters degree in Reading, Language and Culture from the University of Arizona.  I also hold a degree in English Literature from Carleton College.

I have been teaching at Central since 2008.
