Congratulation Men's and Women's Cross Country Division 1 State Qualifiers
Congratulations to a great season for both the boys and the girls teams.
On the boys side congratulations on what was statisitically the best year in 5 years at Cesar Chavez High School! Also a congratulations to the first men's state qualfier since the year 2011, Junior Christian Gomez. Christian places 9th at Sectional III for Division I, he is the first All-Sectional Team member on the men's side since 2011. Christian ran a 17:09. Good luck at state Christian!
On the women's side, congratulations to Amber Fowler and Telehina Robbins who placed 9th and 13th respectively and both made the All-Sectional team for Sectional III for Division I. Amber ran herself into the 3rd best 5k time in Cesar Chavez History with a 20:59, great job Amber! Telahina also ran the 7th best time in school history. Congratulations ladies and good luck at state!
