This Unit will give students a look at some of the major events and themes of the 1920's.  The unit will begin with a look at the impact the bolshevik revolution in Russia had on the United States. We will also look at how the United States transitions back to a peace time economy and how the people and government of the United States took an isolationist stance after the war. Other major topics that will be discussed include Prohibition, the US becoming an urban nation, changing norms, the battle between science and religion, the Harlem Renaissance, popular culture, the economy, credit, and the stock market.
