The purpose of the Scottsdale Civil War Roundtable (http://scottsdalecwrt.org/) is to inform the public about the American Civil War and to contribute to Civil War Battlefield preservation. The meetings are held the 3rd Tuesday of the month September through May (excluding December) at the Scottsdale Civil Center Library from 6:45-8:45. The Scottsdale Civil War Roundtable is the largest and most active Civil War Roundtable in the entire United States with over 300 members. Speakers are brought in from all over the country and speak on a broad range of topics. Below you will find the program for this season's speakers as well as a bio page for all of the speakers. September 16: The Battle of Tupelo/Harrisburg by Tom Parson

October 21: The Battle of New Market, Charles Knight
This is the audio recording from the October 21st meeting. The speaker is Mr. Charles Knight, the Director of the Arizona Capitol Museum. The topic of the lecture is the Battle of New Market fought on May 15, 1864 in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia between Union Major General Franz Sigel and Confederate Major General John C. Breckinridge.
