HOW CAN I HELP MY CHILD?
Parents ask, "How can I help my child?"
First, make sure your student is attending classes each day. Attendance
is mandatory for success. If an absence can not be avoided, make sure
your student checks with the teacher and does the make-up work.
Second, follow up through Parent Vue to monitor attendance and progress
in classes. Also, look at the Important Events Calendar page for
assignments, deadlines, and Saturday School days.
Third, have your child participate in Advisory Class, Saturday School,
and free tutoring services.
- Advisory Class is a tutoring program each day during 5th period where
every student has the opportunity for tutoring with his/her teachers.
- The Saturday School Program is from 8:00 - 12:00 and allows students.
to make-up work or have the opportunity for academic interventions.

- Supplemental Educational Services offer free turtoring services for all
Phoenix Union High School District students. Visit

Fourth, call the counselors, teachers, and administrators if you have any
concerns. We are here to provide a positive educational environment
and want to work with you in supporting this process.
