• The Law Magnet is a program offered exclusively through the Academies at South Mountain High.  It is designed to serve a diverse population of students both in backgrounds and in interests.  Students will be introduced to many different legal skills and content.  The program aims to help educate students on basic legal rights in addition to developing an interest in the legal field for those students who hope to attend college and potentially law school.  The program offers a wide array of experiences including but not limited to an exploration of local law schools, teen court, a school wide peer mediator program, regional and state Mock Trial Competitions and a national Moot Court Competition organized through the Marshall-Brennan Program and Arizona State Universities Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.  The Law Magnet is part of the Public and Social Services Academy.
