I'm Sean Kelleher and am happy to be your child's counselor.  As a valley native, I graduated from Apollo High School in Glendale.  From there I began my teaching career in the Glendale district, making my way to a High School Counselor 9 years later.  I have been a counselor in the Phoenix Union High School District for more than 16 years.  I am grateful for the opportunity to work with you and your family here at Cesar Chavez.  The best part of being a counselor is bringing out the hidden skills my students have to make wise decisions for a successful personal and professional life.

Students, you are very capable and powerful human beings. Have the courage to be the change you want for our community.  Get involved on campus and in our community. Seek out adults and make connections with them.  They can be your mentors.  We are in the people business and we will always be open and honest with you.

Parents, expect your child's best effort.  Openly communicate with them.  Get involved in your child's interests and recognize their talents.  Share quality time alone with your child and celebrate his/her victories.  Stay close to them during these years.  It is a time when they don't think they need you.  We both know they need you now more than ever.

Reach me at the above email or at 602-764-4028 anytime.  I look forward to working with you. See you soon!
