Welcome to the Fairfax Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Services Program

In this course, students will build skills required in the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitative Services industry. Students learn rehabilitation strategies, indication and contraindications of modalities, advanced nutrition, mycology (muscle physiology), protocols, exercise physiology and advanced anatomy and physiology concepts. Each student will be required to spend a minimum of twenty hours under the supervision of the Certified Athletic Trainer in the training room and after school practices, as well as work a minimum of one competitive event each month. Students gain valuable leadership and employment skills and receive opportunities for scholarships and community involvement by participating in Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), a state and national career and technical student organization.
