    Ms. Stanis is very excited to bring the exciting world of dance to the students at Metro Tech High School.  While there has always been a very active dance team, THE KNIGHT DANCERS, there wasn't a dance program.  Now in it's fifth year the program is continually growing.  Dancers perform in three concerts on campus, two concerts with Central HS Dance, and various campus events throughout the year. Metro Tech Dance also partners with the theatre program and has produced three musicals over the past two years. The students, staff and administration are all very excited about this thriving new program and all the sparkle, finesse, and joy in brings to campus! 
     
    Before dedicating herself to a career in education, Ms. Stanis danced her way across the country performing in tours and regional theatre productions. Her professional career "in the industry" makes her a perfect fit for this CTE focused campus.  Before arriving at Metro Tech she was formerly the Director of Arts & Special events and dance teacher at Mesa Arts Academy, a K-8 Charter School.  Ms. Stanis is very active in the arts community throughout the valley.  She continually works with Phoenix Theatre, Childsplay, Grease Paint Youth Theatre and East Valley Children's theatre as an educator and choreographer. Valley audiences caught her onstage last year at the Orpheum in SINGIN' IN THE RAIN. Ms. Stanis was awarded Metro Tech's 2018 Teacher of the Year.
