    Welcome to Cesar Chavez High School!
    I currently teach Health and AVID in the Freshman House.  You will love being a student here and recieve a quality education.  I have had several opporunities to teach in various settings and love it here at Chavez.  I have high expectations for my students and know they have unlimited potential.

     The prupose of Health class:
     
    The purpose of the Health Education Class is to teach mental, emotional, and physical health which can guide the student in making informed decisions regarding their own personal health.  Topics include: Wellness, exercise and fitness, nutrition, suicide, relationships, human sexuality, abstinence, stress, tobacco, illegal drugs, and alcohol.
     
     
    The Purpose of AVID class:
    AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is offered as an elective course that prepares students for entrance into four-year colleges. There is an emphasis on analytical writing, preparation for college entrance and placement exams, study skills and test taking, note-taking, and research.
